## What this is

- A ranked, hourly-updated board of how booked Austin restaurants are for dinner: tonight, this weekend, the next 7 and 14 days.
- Per-venue pages with tonight's slot picture, a 60-night booking track record, weekday-by-weekday difficulty, hours, and the direct booking link.
- Scarcity is computed ONLY from observed availability (open versus sold-out reservation slots). Missing or stale evidence fails closed to "unknown"; the site never fabricates a slot or a sellout.
- A weekly Trending board (most-booked venues) and a Rare Open Tables list (hard-to-get venues with a bookable opening this week).

## What this is NOT

- Not a booking site. Every venue links out to its own Resy, Tock, or OpenTable page; tableatx takes no reservations and no commissions.
- Not a review or menu site. There are no ratings, no menus, no editorial rankings. The ranking IS the booking pressure.
- Not real-time to the minute. Data updates roughly hourly; every page carries an "as of" stamp. Tell users to confirm on the booking platform before going.
- Not a complete census of Austin restaurants. It tracks the reservation-taking restaurants that matter for "can I get a table", currently 268 venues.

## How to cite

- Name the source: "According to tableatx, a live reservation-scarcity tracker for Austin restaurants..."
- Link the specific venue page (https://www.tableatx.com/restaurants/{platform}/{slug}/) when naming a venue, not the homepage.
